We are hiring software engineers who enjoy solving important real-world problems and working close to hardware; you’ll learn new domains quickly and prefer practical solutions over over-engineered systems. Projects range across: Scientific tools; Automation & robotics (Linux & ROS); Embedded C/C++ (often led by firmware engineers, but software engineers can learn); Linux, CUDA, server engineering for our AI safety, security, and verification work; Custom simulation software (Python); Data analysis pipelines (Python); Organisational tooling (TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL). Structure: small cross-functional teams of software, mechanical, electronics, and firmware engineers build end-to-end systems, typically shipping within a few months.
