Job Description

Chestnut is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to design schemas, build backend logic, and ship UI for a payouts platform used by insurance carriers. You will own high-integrity systems with correctness-critical requirements: payouts that reconcile with finance to the cent, dynamic agent hierarchies, retries, chargebacks, and partial failures. Responsibilities include designing data schemas, implementing backend workflows, building frontend components, deploying to production, and addressing edge cases for enterprise customers. Stack includes Go, TypeScript/React, PostgreSQL, Temporal, Kubernetes, and AWS. This role expects 3–6 years of experience on real product systems and a thoughtful approach to invariants and failure modes. The role also involves leveraging AI technologies as part of the platform.
