Job Description
Senior Backend Engineer (Architecture & AI Systems) at Howie Systems. You will work on multi-tenant backend systems powering hybrid search, document ingestion pipelines, and large-scale indexing across complex engineering datasets. Stack includes PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, vector search, distributed systems, and async pipelines. Requirements: 8+ years backend engineering experience, strong systems design, distributed systems and production B2B SaaS. Small team (<10 engineers) with high ownership and production users.
