Job Description
IBM Research Boston is seeking early-career Research Scientists to work on co-design of software harnesses and LLMs, with emphasis on small/medium open-model space. The team collaborates with Granite model series training and aims to deliver impactful work in LLM-enabled software systems. Responsibilities include exploring co-design approaches, prototyping software harnesses, and collaborating across teams. Requirements include interest in LLMs and one of programming languages, formal methods, or compilers. Experience with Rust is a plus; familiarity with formalizations in rocq/lean or similar is a plus but not required. This is an early-career role; applicants at entry-level or with recent postdoc experience are encouraged to apply.Remote Conditions
Hybrid: 3 days in office; location flexibility with Boston preferred but NYC/SF possible
