Job Description

IBM Research in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Scientist to work at the intersection of LLM training and the inference stack. Candidates should have both implementation experience and theoretical background in compilers, programming languages, or programming models, with mathematical maturity in formal systems (programming language theory, type theory, proof assistants, etc.). Practical experience in pretraining and RL tuning LLMs and experience developing or modifying inference engines for LLMs are highly desirable.
