Role involves owning day-to-day infra for IVPN and modDNS, including rolling out a new immutable, diskless, bare-metal VPN gateway fleet, improving DNS routing, and automating operations. This is a fully remote, high-autonomy position with limited meetings. Responsibilities: collaborate with the senior infrastructure engineer; drive infrastructure improvements; maintain production Linux systems (including bare-metal); manage configuration with Ansible, Puppet, or Salt; scripting in Python, Go, or Bash; work with TCP/IP, UDP, and TLS/SSL; engage with information security concepts (public-key crypto, TPM, reproducible builds).
